National Apprenticeship Week to help promote and celebrate UK apprenticeship

Submitted by James Broom on Mon, 14/03/2016 - 10:16

This week is National Apprenticeship Week, an initiative that celebrates and promotes apprenticeship and the positive impact they can have on businesses.

Between 14th and 18th March, organisations and tech enthusiasts will be setting up events and fundraisers all across the UK to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week and to help promote its importance on the economy. The week is co-ordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service, a programme that is part of the Skills Funding Agency and is funded by the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills.

The theme of this week is "An apprenticeship can take you anywhere." The focus is to show how young individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses can find success and positive results through apprenticeships and traineeships. A Pledge-o-Meter has been set up to highlight the commitment to creating new apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities all across the UK.

There are several ways of getting involved and to help promote apprenticeship. You can visit the official National Apprenticeship Week 2016 website to learn how to submit an event and find out more about what others are doing.

Alternatively, you can find IT opportunities for apprenticeships and traineeships on Technojobs by clicking the link below.
