ETL Data Stage Developer

Our client are currently looking for an experienced ETL Data Stage Developer to work on an initial 6 month contract at their site in Ipswich.

Applicants must have the following skills:

*5+ years of work experience in working with development of large scale data warehouse system with Onshore / offshore Team.

*3+ years of experience working with and designing data solutions for Retail industry with focus one or more business domains.

*3+ years of work experience on IBM Infosphere product suites

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*Excellent planning and execution skills with a proven ability to establish and meet impactful goals and objectives with regard to data architecture

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

*Developing and documenting the ETL processes

*Extracting data from source systems and populating EDW and various Data Marts

*Providing business users with data lineage and a business glossary.

*Unit Test and support System Test and User Acceptance test

*Developing Non-Functional features in delivery of ETL jobs

*Master Data Management background

*Extensive experience as a ETL Developer, strong background in creating and implementation of ETL solutions in retail industry.

*Strong experience of IBM Infosphere and Data stage/Quality stage and CDC (Change Data Capture)

*Experience of using Oracle, Netezza.

*Experience of being involved in BI Projects working with WebFocus, Cognos.

*Experience in developing Unix Scripting, Tivoli Scheduling scripts

*Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live

*Preparing Implementation Plan , Sequence of Execution for UAT and Production environment.

*Preparation and handover warranty support document to In house IT user.
