Security Architect (Inside scope of IR35)

Skills/Experience:

* Prior experience working in a public sector environment - ideally local government or health authority

* 10 years relevant experience working in an Architecture / Design post with certifications relevant to the role advertised (e.g. MCSE Cloud Platform, VCP, CISSP, etc.)

* Detailed technical understanding of Microsoft Azure - including experience developing the security of a tenancy from the ground up

* Detailed technical understanding of Microsoft O365 - including an in depth understanding of the usage and implementation of the various security features available

* Understanding of the security of a on premise VMware vSphere environment

* Experience hardening a cloud based infrastructure

* Understanding of AV, firewall architectures, reverse proxy, forward proxy, internet feeds, load balancers etc. on premise and how the change following a move to cloud

* Good documentation skills

* Good presentation skills

* Able to work independently

* You will be expected to be able to make decisions about Azure and O365 security on the fly and be able to defend and explain those decisions to various technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will face-off to MS experts in meetings and your decisions will have a material impact on how the organisation will secure the cloud based environments they migrate into.
