Responsibilities

- Assist and take responsibility for key elements of the Data Privacy Compliance Programme (as part of meeting GDPR and other compliance Requirements)

- Inform, advice and issue recommendations to Data Protection Queries from internal stakeholders on global Data Privacy and Personal Data Processing and Protection requirements

- Policies, Processes, Guidance and other Framework documentation creation and review

- Advise and Engage on Data Privacy for External bids and Projects

- Assist key stakeholders in compliance gap analysis and readiness assessments

- Review Privacy Impact Assessment and Gap Analysis Assessments and provide risk mitigation actions

- Review and advice on Data Privacy clauses in contracts

- Creation and maintenance of global documentation, Privacy Notices, Privacy Statements, SOPs, work instructions and guidance notes

- Manage Subject Access Requests and other data subject requests

- Assist with external disclosure requests and requirements

- Completion of Data Processing Mapping Review

- Training Stakeholder Groups on Data Privacy

- Reporting on Compliance Status and Risk from Privacy Management Software

Requirements

- Expertise in international and European data protection laws and practices and an in-depth understanding of the GDPR

- Experience in data privacy and protection

- Ideally you will also have an IAPP or BCS Chartered Institute of IT (formerly ISEB) qualification in data protection

- Integrity and high professional ethics

- Ability to handle information and business affairs with secrecy and confidentially as appropriate;

- Demonstrated leadership and project management

- Must be pragmatic with the ability to communicate effectively with the highest levels of management and decision-making within the organization

- Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders, data subjects, data protection authorities and other controllers and processors across national boundaries and cultures

- Adequate self-awareness and confidence to acknowledge knowledge gaps and seek to fill them from reliable sources

- Ability to research and distil information to solve complex commercial data issues;
