Our client, a leading global telecoms organisation, are currently looking for a Release & Patch Manager to work on an initial 3 month contract based in Hertfordshire.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience in the following:
Release Management:
*ITIL
*Demonstrable experience of delivery in a complex environment, including planning ownership and execution of a project plan.
*Understanding of Service Management principles including the Initiating of work packages to be undertaken by team members
*2 years relevant application delivery-management - desirable
*Knowledge and experience of complex Service Management activities with in-depth experience of Release Management
*Knowledge and experience of ISO 20000, working in an ITIL conformant organisation
*Excellent customer relationship skills with the ability to balance the cost and quality challenges
*Practical experience of continuous improvement methods and techniques
*Good understanding of statistical and analytical principles and processes
*Good understanding of application environments
*Post holders need to manage across a number of technical teams to achieve successful delivery of their release having managed in a 'matrix management' style environment
*Understanding of environment-build processes and Networking Architecture
*Appreciation of testing and testing control mechanisms such as defect management
*In-depth understanding of change control mechanisms is required
*Demonstrable experience of delivery in a complex environment, including planning ownership and execution of a project plan
*Demonstrable experience of the delivery of multiple projects
*Develop skills for wider team and transfer knowledge to provide better support for the RM team
*Develop cross-partnership relationships with other key stakeholder teams
*Strong ability to persuade and influence client and stakeholder relationships
*Ability to analyse data and manage operating costs
Patch Management:
*Understanding of Service Management principals including the Initiating of work packages to be undertaken by team members
*Post holders need to manage across a number of technical teams to achieve successful delivery of their release having managed in a 'matrix management' style environment
*Understanding of environment-build processes and Networking Architecture
*Appreciation of testing and testing control mechanisms such as defect management
*Document processes clearly and concisely, in accordance with ISO standard audit, and communicate to stakeholders
*Take personal responsibility for delivering to SLAs, OLAs, KPIs and SIP's
*In-depth understanding of change control mechanisms is required
*2 years relevant patch application delivery-management - desirable
*Demonstrable experience of delivery in a complex environment, including planning ownership and execution of a project plan
*Demonstrable experience of the delivery of multiple projects
*ITIL Training - complete ITIL Foundation modules
*Develop skills for wider team and transfer knowledge to provide better support for the RM team
*Develop cross-partnership relationships with other key stakeholder teams
*Strong ability to persuade and influence client and stakeholder relationships
*Ability to analyse data and manage operating costs
*Developed communication and diplomacy skills
