Our defence client are currently looking for an experienced SC cleared BI Programme Manager to work on an initial 4 month contract at their site in Birmingham.

Applicants must have the following skills:

Develop the data warehouse capability

*Actively engage with end users and DA&I staff to plan the agile sprints (up to three in advance)

*Engage with BI Design & Integration team to assess scale of development required to size SONs for consideration prior to sprint planning

*Engage with the BI Delivery team to ensure a smooth transition of requests into requirements as necessary, and maintain engagement to ensure the end user requirement is fully captured

*Develop the presentation materials for the BI Steering Group, and act as the final approver of those items to be considered for prioritisation as well as providing a recommendation on behalf of DA&I

*Identify future enhancements and improvements to the data warehouse capability, including the deployment of new software to meet user needs, and oversee the design and implementation of such developments

Oversight of resilience and contingency planning of data warehouse capability

*Ownership of the resilience and business continuity plans for the data warehouse capability

*Engagement with CIO to specify and review technical specifications to ensure future-proofing of the data warehouse capability

Identify Data Acquisition and Integration Requirements

*Engage with DA&I data team and external parties on a regular basis to ensure data requirements and continuity of supply are assessed

*Engage and provide technical advice to BI Design & Integration team to ensure planning and sizing of SONs into sprints is compatible with the approach the team adopts in delivery

*Work closely with the wider Data team to understand the impact of data architecture, standards, quality and governance upon the prioritisation of deliverables in the BI sprints

Active engagement as member of BI team, including stakeholder management

*Take on additional responsibilities as appropriate to support the success of DA&I

*Support line manager in the promotion of the development of the wider Data team, providing support to AH - Data Management as required

Oversight of documentation and guides

*Oversee the development of guides to encourage best practice across the virtual BI community, acting as a technical expert in reviewing and approving such documents

Engagement with CIO

*Undertake agreement of deliverables with relevant CIO staff, and ensure the delivery to agreed commitments

*Engage with CIO on new developments or enhancements to the data warehouse capability, including the architecture and design of the solution to optimise performance
