We are looking for an energetic controls engineer to drive forward the development of world leading offshore technology. The ideal controls engineer will demonstrate technical expertise, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings.

We are working with a company who are leading the way in the off shore equipment design and dominating the offshore engineering space. The client has won a number of projects which requires contract staffing resource. This role is for an initial 6 months starting ASAP (extensions expected)

This role is based in Glasgow and is deemed Outside IR35.

The ideal Controls Engineer will have subsea/renewable engineering experience and a strong background in EC&I.

The client is looking for candidates with the following experience:

  • PLC programming (Siemens / Rockwell)
  • Designing of SCADA/HMI applications
  • Design of Ethernet and serial networks
  • Manufacture and assembly support
  • Technical documentation to support equipment (specifications, risk assessments, manuals, etc)
  • Client support - on-site and remote (occasional site travel preferred)
  • Peer review of engineering designs
  • Experience level - ability to work on projects without direct supervision. 5+ years.
