REQUIRED: UX DESIGNER

LOCATION: HYBRID - 2 DAYS IN EITHER GLASGOW OR NORTHAMPTON

DURATION: 6 MONTH INITIAL CONTRACT

IR35 STATUS: INSIDE

The Digital Accessibility SME will:

1. take a lead role in evaluating and testing the accessibility of digital services so that they're accessible and inclusive for all users, including people with disabilities.

2. provide expert guidance on accessibility compliance, project manage enhancements and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that internal systems and suppliers meet the highest accessibility standards

3. foster a culture of accessibility, advocate for inclusive design, and drive accessibility integration across all facets of our organization.

Key responsibilities

1. Conduct accessibility audits and testing of digital products against WCAG 2.2 and other relevant accessibility guidelines.

2. Support in identifying and addressing accessibility issues in existing digital assets.

3. Advise cross-functional teams on accessibility best practices throughout the product development lifecycle.

4. Engage and influence external suppliers to evidence and uplift their accessibility performance.

5. Project manage accessibility assessments and long-term strategic planning, straddling internal product teams and external suppliers.

6. Engage with other accessibility advocates and disabled users to gather insights and feedback.

7. Develop and implement organization-wide accessibility policies and guidelines
