Available contract role for a Contracts Officer working for a Higher Education client.

The role will be inside of IR35, fully remote, on a 3 month initial contract, which is likely to extend for up to 12 months.

Contract Performance Management

Provide High Quality information, advice and guidance on contract management and performance to stakeholders, referring queries to Vendor Manager where appropriate.

Maintain and monitor Key Performance Indicators & Service level agreement information monthly for all ISDS contracts. Actively monitor existing standards, processes and templates for working with vendors and update an improve where required.

Arrange and attend supplier meetings as required. You may be required to lead discussions with the supplier as required in the meeting.

Manage relationships with customers and suppliers proactively both within and beyond ISDS ensuring that their views and future needs are fully taken into account in the development of the service, and ensuring that the customers are kept well informed of the potential of ISDS to contribute to their areas.

Liaise with ISDS staff to ensure delivery of quality services and work closely with colleagues from other areas of ISDS to support service development and enhancement.

Work collaboratively within ISDS to contribute to the development of the Service.

Take part in and initiate cross-institutional groups addressing key University issues, and to provide an internal consultancy service. To make an active contribution to external groups, representing the University, the HE sector, the industry or the region and to share development expertise and, where appropriate, products with the community.

Software Licence Management

Manage software licence renewals with stakeholders ensuring licence requirements are met and Manchester Metropolitan University is compliant with the terms of the agreements.

Information, Reporting & Systems Management

Manage and update the contract database, taking responsibility to ensure that accurate records are maintained using the procurement contract system in In -Tend .

General Administration & Tender Activities

Support tender activities, such as preparing appropriate documentation and liaising with relevant stakeholders. Support the vendor manager and contract owners with ITT and SQ completions and tender evaluations as required.

Lead on the mobilisation of contracts, working with contract owners and suppliers to begin works. Duties may include, site orientation, arranging of identification cards etc. and introduction to key staff members amongst others.

Plan and prioritise own workload, in order to make the most effective contribution to the department's service provision.

Develop, maintain and apply a significant breadth and depth of current technical and professional expertise in order to analyse complex situations and develop appropriate solutions meeting a wide range of technical and non-technical criteria.

Plan and manage complex projects of a technical nature, balancing available resources (people, finance and technology) and monitoring progress against plans in order to maximise the likelihood of successful delivery.

Ensure compliance with the Financial Regulations of the University.

Other Duties

Work with the Vendor Manager to identify areas for improvement, including streamlining processes and adapting information management and monitoring tools.

Assist Vendor manager with ISDS department training for Contract & Vendor management to key stakeholders

Ensure that development work is undertaken in a professional manner, following best practice development processes and procedures.

Provide solutions to multi-faceted problems, and anticipate how those solutions might be applied to other aspects of service provision
