IT Project Manager / Inside IR35 / Hybrid Northampton

We are looking for an IT Project Manager to work autonomously for a Higher Education client of ours.

This role will involve some hybrid working, with 2 days per week on site in Northampton. The role will fall inside of IR35, at a negotiable rate, on a 6 months contract.

The client has multiple different projects underway at the moment, including;

1.Move of in house hosted corporate applications into Microsoft Azure

2.Moving staff from existing file storage approach to One Drive

3.Moving staff from using multiple collaboration/online meeting tools to Microsoft Teams

4.Moving students to multi-factor authentication

5.Replacement of our screen projection software

6.Move of users from Citrix, for offsite secure application access, to the newly chosen tool (actual tool tbd)

7.Space utilisation reporting solution

8.Multiple software replacement projects (determine current requirements, assess options against requirements, choose new tool, implement tool and onboard users)

9.Changing wi-fi service management in halls of residence from in house team to external supplier

The specific skills that we are looking for in this role includes;

1.Experience of managing projects (not just running the PMO)

2.Experience of managing challenging projects involving multiple stakeholders (IT, business, suppliers, cyber security specialists)

3.Experience of requirements gathering (in case BAs are not available)

4.Experience of negotiating with end users

5.Experience of project planning

6.Experience of allocating project tasks; negotiating and agreeing dates and then managing delivery

7.Experience of reporting project progress to senior stakeholders

8.Experience of managing risks and issues effectively

9.Experience of managing projects in an environment where users have power to resist the change being brought in
