Wintel Design Engineer - SC/DV Cleared

We currently have a live role available working as a Wintel Design Engineer in the public sector. The role requires an active SC clearance and is 6 months initially with view to extend longer term. The role will need to be worked full time on site in Corsham.

You must be able to work within a team and have the autonomy to work independently when required. We are looking for dependable and experienced support staff that are not afraid to own problems and incidents and deliver solutions to issues.

The Level 3 WINTEL and VDI Design Services shall include:

- Contribution to the Authority's design and implementation of WINTEL equipment and systems - Analysis and evaluation of solutions and applications to enhance the performance and security of WINTEL equipment and systems

- Liaising and working collaboratively with other Authority Third Parties, Resolver Groups, and any other persons specified by the Authority to implement Service Changes and technical changes and resolve Level 3 WINTEL Incidents, Level 3 WINTEL Problems and Level 3 WINTEL Defects

- Generating high level designs (HLDs) and low level designs (LLDs) for subsets of System WINTEL capability

- Updating Design Documentation to capture changes in the design of WINTEL equipment and systems

- Creating user build guides and configuration instructions for the installation of WINTEL equipment and systems

- Provide support to product selection.

Experience

* Strong skills in Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and 2016

* Active Directory & Group Policy management, design and support

* Microsoft HyperV virtualization or VMware experience

* Windows Server technologies such as Skype For Business, Exchange 2012/16, MIM, SharePoint

* Good understanding of Network Design principles, FireWalls, WAN protocols

* Security technologies such as McAfee AV / ePolicy Orchestrator

* Documentation and design, including Agile delivery

* PowerShell and other scripting experience
