IT Service Pricing / Cost Modelling Specialist

NISSS is a programme that will deliver Dstl's future corporate IT services through a mix of internal and external suppliers, and exit the current arrangement with their monolithic prime supplier SSL.

To deliver NISSS, a number of procurements will be required to secure the services of external suppliers.

To run successful procurements, assessment of supplier's commercial offerings will be essential in determining value for money. IT services are complex, and can be procured through a range of different pricing mechanisms.

There is a requirement for a Pricing expert, to lead the development of a pricing model for the future procurements. The pricing model will:

-Propose pricing mechanisms for different types of IT services, e.g. Service desk call handling, devise provision, application support

-Provide a model that can be issued in procurements, and be used by bidders to propose their pricing for different types of services

-Allow for scenario modelling to stress test the model and ensure that it cannot be gamed by suppliers

The key thing we need, is experience in taking the lead on the development of pricing models for projects that have been outsourcing IT services and running procurements. This could either be from a client side perspective, where the organisation is creating the pricing model that suppliers have to respond to, or it could be the other side where there is experience supply side on pricing IT services within a major outsourced vendor.
