One of our clients are looking for an experienced Systems Architect to join them on a contract basis.

Inside IR35

SC clearance required

Until the end of March initially with the chance of extension

Based at the Bristol hub/Remote with onsite visits to Corsham up to 3 days per week

A systems architect who will work in the NGCN programme team reporting to NGCN Head of Technology. They lead on the requirements and design of the programme.

*Must have demonstrable experience of developing systems architecture requirements.

*Must have experience of systems architecture within large public sector organisations.

In addition:

*Able to operate at a strategic level but able get stuck in with the detail when required.

*Experience of working with KURs, URD and SRDs.

*Must have broad experience of architecture and networks.

*Experience of security and 'secure by design' approaches preferred.

*Must be able to liaise other systems / solutions stakeholders.

*Must be able to think longer term and beyond the horizon for technical depth.

Develop the NGCN Systems Requirements

*Ensure coherency with and fulfilment of the User Requirements.

*Ensure coherency with and fulfilment of the Reference Architecture

*Ensure compliance with interfaces with external systems.

*Ensure no gaps exist in the Requirement Set.

*Organise and conduct reviews of the Systems Requirements with stakeholders.

Develop the Integrate, Test, Evaluate and Acceptance Plan (ITEAP)

*Ensure compliance with the Test strategy, user requirements and system requirements.

*Review and manage suggested verification test events and methodologies.

*Engage with Authority and Third Party verification teams to define test teams, actions and automation.

*Review stakeholders and events in the draft ITEAP for suitability with the wider project.

Support development of Network Assessment Tools ("Digital Twin").

*Review progress of the 3rd party assessment tool, report assessments to PMO.

*Develop test procedures for the acceptance of the tool.

Support Governance of the project.

*Plan, execute and report sprints.

*Create and conduct regular (monthly) updates to the 1* lead and other stakeholders.

*Ensure the Systems Requirement Document (SRD) custodian records and updates the requirements section in accordance with changes.

Develop the Systems Architecture Document (SAD). (TBD)

*Place the current model into an Authority Approved Tool.

*Develop the Activities to be fully compliant with standard modelling language (UML and/or NAF) by developing each draft activity and including Measures of Performance (MoP)

*Look to reduce structure inherited from the draft Systems Requirements, consider adding requirements identified as gaps in the model.

*Work alongside the Service Architect author to ensure coherency and/or merging of the two models.

*Export into a MS Word document for release alongside the Systems Requirement Document
