My client who is based in London is looking for a Siem/ junior splunk security incident response analyst/engineer.

For an initial 7 month contract inside of IR35.

The candidate will need to have in?depth technical?knowledge and subject matter expert?of SIEM technology and operations. The role is to support the build and the implementation?of the security services, advise and support the project team?with the successful implementation of the solution and be involved in documenting procedures and installation/configuration instructions. Operational experience with Splunk SIEM implementations and log forwarding?desirable.

Understanding of?log sources?and log retrieval?from various platforms?e.g.?Windows, Linux,?network devices?and how these can be used for development of use?cases?. Operate as point of contact between various European and middle-eastern countries. Considering different IT cultures and environments able to collate information related to security monitoring use cases. Support the development of use?cases?and standardize across European and middle-eastern countries. Support the documentation of use?cases and log data required for these use?cases. Support the work to test and review use cases with the project team and?global?teams. Transfer knowledge to the operational teams.

Desired (project/industry) experience:

This is a Junior role demonstrating good analytical & technical skills, experience of working in cyber security especially cyber incident response, cyber event management.

Experience of working in a multi-geography organisation is a must.
