My client who is based in Bristol is looking for a Finance Manager for an initial 6 month contract.

Ownership of the Corporate financial function and support for monthly / quarterly BT Group reporting. Provides financial leadership to the "Corporate" Entity and manages financial processes, including all aspects of Group internal reporting.

The role holder manages the financial support for a set of senior business partners across a number of central entities, such as insurance and pensions. He/she is responsible for financial leadership to translate strategy into practical solutions and day-to-day working practices.

Key responsibilities include:

1)Ownership of the Corporate finance function including P&L, Balance Sheet & Normalised Free Cash flow for actuals, forecasting and reporting, including risks & opportunity analysis, specifics reporting. Preparation for "holistic review" and ownership of the group recharges calculation and methodology.

2)Support for monthly/quarterly BT Group reporting for Corporate including WD4, WD6 Flash, WD8 reviews with responsibility for TLC, Capex & Depreciation for CFO/Exco presentation. Along with additional quarterly requirements including one off consolidation and liaising with external auditors.

3)Management of internal recharging for central cost items

4)Leading the development of how the "Corporate" entity will operate under the new SAP suite of tools implemented by the "Making Finance Brilliant" programme. This will include the implementation and some reconciliation work in the remainder of FY21. More generally, enhance and improve all aspects of Corporate working practices including forecasting processes, reporting & analysis tools. Looking for better ways of working across Corporate entities to include the use of standard templates and simplification to enable efficiencies.

5)Working with the rest of the Cash & Corporate team to support wider Cash planning and forecasting activities.

6)Ensuring adherence to SoX, Anti Corruption & Bribery & Data protection regulations.

7)Providing assistance and/or leadership in projects that enhance and improve all aspects of internal & external Group reporting.

Job Standards For Role:

*There are core standards of financial practice that apply across all grades. These are: maintaining the highest standards of accounting integrity and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Accuracy of forecasts is a key component of all roles. Standard reports should be always be used.

*The monthly reporting process drives a number of common standards; the closure process should be both timely and of high quality. The results should be signed off by the area MD and the MFU every month.

*Builds and delivers the appropriate financial/business information for all financial reporting for their client area and collaborates with HR and Business Operations to ensure TLR and TLC are adequately and professionally forecasted.

*Is actively involved in discussions relating to business and strategic planning from the perspective of the area (or region or country) within which the role works.

*Consistently looks for opportunities to transform the cost base.

*Ensures the timely delivery of appropriate financial/business information to senior management or customer set.

*Is actively involved in discussions relating to business and strategic planning from the perspective of the area (or region or country) within which the role works.

*May be involved in complex modelling/data manipulation and/or data interpretation

*Establishes and implements effective procedures within the area to meet the business' financial requirements.

*Involved in the development and implementation of new accounting systems and processes to requirements.
