Our defence client is recruiting for 2 x Qualified Weapons Instructors to join a team in Lincolnshire on a long term contract, expected to run until March 2023. SC clearance required. The role falls inside the scope of IR35 but competitive rates are available.
Job description:
* Leading the delivery of all activities in support of the QWIC.
* Booking airspace, training areas and operating areas as required by the exercise scenario.
* Assisting the design and delivery of courseware and enabling products, such as ATO generation, scenario management and Red Air scripting.
* Range Training Officer duties, depending on background and experience levels.
* Arranging Mode 3 IFF and radio frequency plans for live-fly exercises.
* Leading exercise activities in a delivery, development and mentoring role, covering the full Plan-Brief-Execute-Debrief cycle.
* Translating training objectives into scripted exercises (constituting Missions comprised of individual vignettes) to meet the exercise and scenario trg aims.
* An understanding of the application of ROE, specifically with respect to JSP 900, LOAC and Op SPINS.
* Undertaking day-to-day management of the 29(R) Sqn exercise programme.
* Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite (including MOSS and Meridio) in addition to, but not limited to AMPA, RAIDS and Airscape.
* Being conversant with current MoD Information Management
* Identifying and capturing lessons-learned to shape future training serials.
* Compiling a post-event report when required.
* Integrating their operation with other extant contractors/sub-contractors at client site
