Hardware Datacentre Specialist - Security Cleared

My client is currently looking for a Datacentre Hardware Specialist (DHS) specialised in case qualifications to support a project based in Strasbourg. Security Clearance (SC/NATO Secret/EU Secret) is required.

Job Description

* As DHS resident, you are the first point of contact on site.

* No remote access is possible.

* As such the DHS will be the "SPOC" between the local customer engineers and the response centres.

Job Responsibilities:

* Pre-Qualification of HW and or SW problems.

* SPOC for all break and fix repairs

* Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced partners and customers on datacentre infrastructure design and development.

* Being able to follow and execute test plans

* Keep documentation up to date (rack layout, blades configs, visios)

* Strong trouble shooting skill

* Participates as a member of project team of infrastructure projects.

* Deep understanding and able to configure : San devices, Blade enclosures, network devices.

* Team player who is willing to learn to help progress the team.

* Perform FW updates and reviews

* Perform low level configuration adaptations (LUN creation etc)

* Support customers and End-users on issues encountered on the datacentre infrastructure

* Mission critical mindset

Education and Experience:

* Knowledge of subsystems like Networking, Red Hat

* Knowledge of Microsoft documentation tools like Word, Visio, etc

Troubleshooting, installation and configuration knowledge of the following systems :

* Blades

* San switches

* Network devices

* XP24k

* P9500

* Synergy

* Storeonce

* Storeeasy

* 3par

* BL and DL series of servers.
