IT Systems Administrator - Brussels

My client is currently recruiting for an IT Systems Administrator to join their team in April on a long term contract based in Brussels. No clearance required.

Requirements:

* Education/training: BA in Information Technology/IT Studies or similar (e.g. MSCE - Microsoft Certified Engineer), BSC/MSc in IT

* Language: English only

Specific Professional experience:

* Certification for Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016, Windows 10 and MS Office 2016/365 or equivalent experience

* Outstanding knowledge of IT hardware and software used, computer network systems, database software, network security

* LANs

* Internet connections

* SQL-Server (Microsoft)

* Active Directory, DNS, VPN and DCHP server environment,

* CISCO Meraki firewall and switches

* LAMP

* Hardware (PCs, printers, routers, peripherals, VOIP and communication equipment etc.)

* MS Office software incl. Outlook

* MS Windows Operating systems

* Website design software is an asset

The Contractor is responsible for:

* maintaining and ensuring the operability of IT infrastructure and IT based management systems

(LAN, WLAN, WAN, telecommunication, cloud, …)

* design and maintenance of the IT security concept and its documentation

* ensure that the IT systems in use comply to guidelines relating to IT and data security

* Identifying relevant problems and issues and assisting in formulating implementation-oriented

solutions

* further developing instruments and assisting in introducing innovation and change

* managing knowledge by disseminating and documenting know-how, experience and information

* regularly updating computer software and programs

* physical migration of the servers in case of a change

* handover documentation in case of termination of service contract

* budget planning for IT investments
