My client urgently requires a Desktop Support Engineer to work from the clients delivery centre in Lancashire.

Role Description

This role is suitable for an engineer with good Windows desktop support experience.

Overall Role Purpose

Good Analytical and troubleshooting skills i.e. can own and run an issue with minimal intervention from others ensuring all relevant parties are informed in a timely manner.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

· Troubleshooting / provide solution(s) to desktop Incidents/problems.

· Technical Learning.

· Learning on the Fly.

· Dealing with Ambiguity.

· Prioritising and managing several open cases at one time.

Typical Outputs and Deliverables

· Troubleshooting/provide solution(s) to desktop Incidents including the following;

- Windows 7, Windows 10

- SCCM

- Profiles

- MS Office Applications

- Security managed via Active Directory & RSA 2FA

- Software / App management

- Hardware diagnostics across Desktops, Laptops, Tablets & Mobile Phones

· Management of incidents within the ticketing system and keeping the customer updated on progress Work to SLA thresholds for incident(s) and problem(s)

· To work closely with internal teams

· Installation and configuration of new equipment / software

· Create, manage and evolve polices, processes and procedures

· Self Development.

· Adhering to internal business processes.

Key Attributes

· Strong troubleshooting skills and experience of windows operating systems

· Troubleshooting desktop issues

· Management of incident / problems

· ITIL- must understand principles
