Service Architect - Defence Sector

My client is looking for a Service Architect to work on an exciting project within the defence sector.

In order to support the high level design and procurement activities of the above services we need a Service Architect, Solution Architect, or Specialist who has significant experience of similar implementations, and who can work within a team to define the system services.

They will also need to have practical "been there and done that" experience and expertise so that they can provide input to the vision and strategy.

The project will support a significant element of integration across legacy and new systems, both at the data and systems level, so experience of this will also be helpful.

The candidate must be able to support the delivery of a set of requirements for components that will provide trusted ODL services across all applications.

The role will work with a wider team of Architects, Analysts and SMEs and must be able to work in a fast paced and changing environment.

The ODL Service definition activities include:

*An agreed scope of services corresponding to the requirements, based on previous tasking, stakeholder engagement, industry best practice and other sources;

*A description of each of the services;

*A list of anticipated interactions for each of the services, employing user stories and use cases to bring to life how the capabilities work for their consumers;

*Capture of other information that may support the definition of the services such as: proposed SLAs and performance requirements, e.g.

ovolumes;

operformance and capacity;

oaudit requirements;

osecurity requirements;

oproposed design patterns.

*Workshops and reviews to agree the initial scope.

Experience of TOGAF, Archimate 3, Sparx EA or BizzDesign ES will be helpful.

Having an understanding and experience of what does and doesn't work in this type of environment is also important.

The role is inside IR35 but the daily rate is competitive.

The role is initially for 3 months but great chances of extensions as long term work.

This position does not require a Security Clearance.
