Job Role: Network Engineer (SC Clearance)

Location: Salford, Manchester

Contract: 6 Months Initially

An exciting opportunity for a experienced Network Engineer to join a Manchester based team support the delivery of the projects within Network Engineering team.

A large number of infrastructure projects are currently being progressed through various stages of the projects' lifecycles. These require extensive engineering support capabilities through Technical Engineering Support services.

Skills / Experience:

Firewalls:

*Fortinet

*Cisco Firepower / Cisco ASA

*Juniper Firewall

*Checkpoint Firewall

*Netscaler

*McAfee web gateway

Routing:

*BGP / OSPF / EIGRP / MPLS

Proxy Servers:

*IronPort

*Bluecoat

Infrastructure:

*AWS / SaaS

*DNS / DHCP

*AD / E-Mail

The following requirements apply:

*Design, implementation and maintenance of infrastructure within the Network Engineering team, as specified in the skills / experience / qualifications section below.

*Production of supporting documentation (in requested format) and associated activities required to ensure effective handover of work to live operations.

*Development of scope, technical plans and cost estimates for engineering work as requested by project and programme management. Subsequent delivery of these costed works including the production of all required design / change / handover documentation in requested format.

*Transfer of responsibilities and knowledge to incoming supplier resource / existing civil servant staff where there are changes to key personnel associated with completion of these works.
