Front-End Web Developer

Responsibilities will include but will not be restricted to:

*Translate user requirements into the overall architecture, specification, design, and implementation of a new system, working with internal providers

*Contribute to a complex and broad reaching development project involving multi-disciplinary working

*Be responsible for the design, functionality, usability and accessibility of a key site within the client's web estate ensuring that technical continuity is maintained and development standards are met

Experience required:

*Considerable, demonstrable experience working as a front end developer

*Experience of working in a development team to build and implement web sites and applications, following deployment and build processes using code repositories

*Experience of working in an Agile development team

Skills:

*In-depth knowledge and experience of developing and deploying production websites and web applications

*Excellent knowledge and experience of: HTML 5, CSS and SCSS

*Ability to use NodeJS based tools such as Gulp to automate development workflow

*Experience working with Webpack module bundler

*Ability to plan and implement responsive front end designs using HTML and CSS

*Ability to think beyond single tasks and take a framework orientated approach

*Excellent organisational skills, with ability to work to deadlines and manage own time

*Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to and interpret requirements with technical and non-technical audiences

*Ability to respond flexibly to the development needs of the organisation

*Good problem solving skills and ability to debug existing code

*A positive attitude, be self-motivated and results orientated
