Essential skills criteria - Experienced Network Architect - 'expert level'

IT Infrastructure (network architect) - Experience of leading teams in the design, implementation, administration and support of complex infrastructure solutions and services.

Systems Design - Track record of designing systems characterised by high levels of risk, impact and business or technical complexity. Evidence of developing effective implementation and procurement strategies, consistent with business needs.

Technology - Have a competent understanding of the following network technologies: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, datacentre LAN, SD networks, VOIP telephony, mobile solutions infrastructure, unified communications, network management solutions, network specific security and remote access technologies and approaches.

Governance and assurance - Able to understand how technical governance works with wider governance (for example, budget). Experience of assuring corporate services by understanding key risks and mitigation through assurance mechanisms.
