SC Cleared Technical Architect

Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing an on-premises cloud based platform, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of the hosted tenants.

Build, release and configuration management of production systems.

Pre-production Acceptance Testing, to help assure the quality of our automated products.

System troubleshooting and problem solving across the platform and application domains.

Ensuring critical platform security through the use of best in class cloud security solutions.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

DevOps: Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer would be ideal in a critical uptime environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools.

Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g. Python/PowerShell) and automation skills.

Operating Systems: Windows Server 2012 R2/2016 and Windows 10 Desktop system build, configuration and administration.

Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds).

Problem Solving: Ability to analyse and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.

Security: Proven track record of designing and implementing NCSC design patterns in a DevOps environment.

Documentation: Production and Review of High and Low Level Designs for Infrastructure components using Confluence.

Desired Skills:

Object Orientated Programming Skills: Strong OO Programming skills (Java or C#).

Database Skills: Basic DB administration experience (Oracle, SQL Server).

Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile software development, project management methodologies.

Version Control: Experience administrating version control systems such as Git/BitBucket.

Networking: Understanding network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP).

Virtualisation: Knowledge and experience of VMware ESXi and VMware vCentre 6.
