WebOps/DevOps Engineer

My client are currently looking for a WebOps/DevOps Engineer to join them on a contract basis to start ASAP.

This role offers some remote working but you would be expected to be on site at least 3 days per week.

Essential Skills:

* Extensive experience of configuring and operational management of cloud hosted services, specifically Amazon Web Services.

* Experience of scripting of automated deployment and configuration management, using tools such as Terraform and Ansible

* Experience of working very closely with developers and designers using agile methods and continuous delivery practices

* Extensive experience of Unix/Linux based operating systems, virtualisation and network infrastructure.

* Good working knowledge of network security best practices.

* Experience of Continuous Integrations tools such as Jenkins.

* Administering application servers, database servers and web servers (Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Passenger, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Apache HTTP server, etc).

Desirable Skills:

* Experience of designing infrastructure and managing operations based on the GDS Standard

* Experience of debugging complex multi-server services

* Understanding of version control systems, specifically Git.
