-A Master of Science (MSc) degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 8 years post-related experience; or

-A Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related subject with 10 years post related experience; or

-Exceptionally, the lack of a degree may be compensated by a lower academic qualification combined with the demonstration of particular abilities or experience of relevance to this post, or with a military experience in the Air operations.

-Recent experience in a senior engineering or engineering management position in the architecture, development and implementation of a large C3 system.

-A good understanding of the NATO Organizational structure and NATO procedures for planning, acquisition, programming and implementation of common-funded projects as well as Operation and Maintenance of these capabilities;

-Proven experience in the use of computer-based support tools with an emphasis on Microsoft Office and planning tools;

-Proven ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, with excellent briefing skills and the ability to produce clear and concise reports.

-Familiar with aspects of the architecture, engineering, specification and implementation of components and elements of C4I systems, especially within NATO, and have recent experience and knowledge of technical functions supporting military operations in the field of C4I;

-Knowledge of the AirC2 systems, including ACCS;

-Sound knowledge of evolutionary development practices, architectural and design models, advanced software technologies and an appreciation of application to a complex, geographically distributed system such as ACCS;

-Good understanding and practical experience of the lifecycle issues surrounding the use of commercial off the shelf and reused software products in long time large scale development projects with specialised operational requirements;

-Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;

-Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT.

-Fluency in English; the work is conducted in the English language;
