SC/DV Cleared 3rd Line Network Specialist

£400-£457 per day

My Government client require a Network Specialist to provide third line level technical network support / problem investigation of Global Support Centre (hereafter GSC) systems.

The role will involve day-to-day delivery of support services in accordance with SLAs, resolving incidents/problems which have been escalated from within the GSC Service Desk. The officer will be required to file a comprehensive record of actions taken and solutions found. The officer will be integrated within the Network Operations Team to provide high quality performance to customers and end-users.

There is a requirement for the officer to be involved in the Acceptance Into Service procedure. This will involve close working with the AIS team and project teams to identify what is required for the Service Desk to bring a new product into service and full support.

Essential:

Technical Background:

*Experience of technologies in a complex network enterprise environment.

*Cisco CCNP Technical Qualification

*Knowledge of WAN, LAN, Internet PSN terminologies and protocols.

*Encryption/Tunnelling techniques - SSL, IPSEC, GRE

*BIG IP F5 Administration - LTM, ASM

*Data Centre cabling - CAT5/6 SM and MM fibre.

*Cisco Switch, Router and ASA configuration and troubleshooting.

*Palo Alto Firewall management configuration and build

*Cisco Telepresence, MCU, VCS, VCSE, TMS

*Load Balancers - BIG IP F5s, Cisco CSS

*Juniper SRX, SSG Firewalls

*Network Management - Cisco Prime, Cisco ISE, PRTG, WUG

*Knowledge of WAN, LAN, Internet PSN terminologies and protocols.

*Encryption/Tunnelling techniques

*Aruba AP

*Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP,BGP and other network protocols

*Experience of Virtual Environments

*Experience in working within a secure environment.

*Experience of Service Desk toolsets

*Foundation certificate in ITIL Service Management

Experience of any of the following:
