Database Administrator - Greenplum

The Greenplum data warehouse administrator will sit within the Greenplum DBA Team. Team is responsible for providing day to day Greenplum DBA support for installations (software only).

Some of the day to day activities are:

- Greenplum software installation

- Patch upgrades

- performance monitoring

- Change implementation

- Performance tuning

- Backup and recovery

- User maintenance

- New database setup

The ideal Greenplum DBA will have:

- Basic knowledge / academic project experience for data warehouse or database products: Postgres; Greenplum; DB2; Sybase; etc. with PostgreSQL exposure , exposure to OLAP/ MPP Platform, Shell/Bash Scripting Exposure

- Familiar with Unix OS and proficient in at least one scripting languages - shell/perl/phyton

- Understand the ITIL/SDLC
