DV Cleared Project Manager

My Government Client require a Project Manager with a high level of security clearance (DV) to manage various projects across a secure portfolio.

The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of small to medium projects (circa £50k-£2m) projects in accordance with Service Level Agreements and Portfolio/Project Plans; Delivery of customer requirements in line with those expected from the delivery of the project; Scheduling of major work packages ensuring optimum use of resources and the pipeline forecasting of work to ensure adequate resource planning; Establishing and Securing the supply chain for their projects; Financial management of the projects in line with processes and procedures; Problem resolution for any issues arising from the programme/projects; Represent the organisation at project governance meetings.

he value and importance of the various activities may be perceived as more manageable by the Programme Manager and suitable for developmental purposes. However, the importance of delivery to time, cost and quality criteria by the client is just as important.

Essential:

*Prince 2 Practitioner, APMP, ISEB Certificate in Project Management or equivalent (or ability to obtain these qualifications within six months of taking on the role)

*Demonstrable experience of project management methodologies and their application in the design, development and implementation of projects.

*Experience in delivering a complex range of projects, preferably in diverse geographic locations in a secure environment.

*Understanding and experience of projects in one or more of the following areas, in terms of the operation, maintenance and deployment of:

**IT: projects involving the installation of IT and communication systems including the delivery of IT infrastructure in an ITIL environment developing techniques on a global scale.

**Perimeter & Protective Security: projects involving the deployment of security systems such as CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Detection systems.

**Estates and Construction: projects relating to estates & construction using UK and International construction standards, contracts and methodologies such as NEC3 and preferably in diverse geographic locations

*Knowledge of analysis techniques, business and/or systems, and its application in a project environment.

*A robust understanding of Health & Safety standards and procedures

*A sound knowledge of financial controls and management with knowledge of all aspects of the project life cycle coupled with a track record of working successfully with Enterprise financial systems (Oracle) at a project level.

*Experience of MS Project or equivalent project planning tool.

Desirable:

*Knowledge or experience in Project Management products such as M_o_R® and M_o_V®

*Knowledge of analysis techniques, business and/or systems, and its application in a project environment.

*Benefits management and the responsibilities from a supply perspective.

*Experience or background in government security

*CPNI training
