As we continue to grow our Team we now have office locations in Coventry, London, Krakow and Hamburg.We’re now looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our Customer Service Platform team in Coventry to help us continue to make that difference.

How the role fits in

Customer Service Platform supports all the digital platforms used by our rapidly growing customer service department. This is a key role within the department, maintaining automated and manual testing frameworks.Based in our Coventry office, with some travel to our other sites, projects will cover a wide variety of software solutions, ranging from custom apps to support and extend the Customer Service CRM, to our customer facing Virtual Assistant chatbot.We value collaboration within our team and you will have constant opportunities to work with all aspects of the business, shaping quality and standards.You will be working within an agile environment, delivering applications that are designed to help users work faster and more efficiently, giving the customer the best customer service experience possible; we are always working towards a cutting-edge customer experience.This is a great opportunity to showcase your testing and automation talent.

The role day to day

To maintain the highest levels of quality across all of our development areas and drive testing requirements within the team.You will be tasked with assuring the standards of applications for the company’s external and internal customers.Work closely with the development teams to deliver specific features. You will be outlining the testing requirements, highlighting potential pitfalls and working closely with key stakeholders to report issues.Introduce automated testing wherever possible, to ensure regression testing and feature testing can be run efficiently and with confidence.We also encourage innovation within the testing team giving you the opportunity to develop more efficient and powerful testing methods. To achieve this we give you 12 research days a year to investigate and assess potential improvements.

What you'll need to help make the best of the role

-Proven experience in testing web and applications

-Proficient in maintaining automated test frameworksKnowledge of test scripts such as Selenium, Webdriver

-Experience of automation tooling eg. Robot Framework / Cucumber / SeleniumProficient in manual testing

-Experience of browser, software and network debugging tools

-Excellent levels of communication and networking

-Ability to work well on your own as well as part of a teamAbility to create and distribute clear, concise test reports

-Ability to define and drive testing requirements

-Ability to create and maintain test plansLogical and consistent approach to defect investigation, classification and reporting

-Demonstrate proficient cross-browser testing of responsive websites

-Extensive UI testing experience

-Have a strong knowledge of testing methods and apply these to help deliver maintainable, production ready code which is highly performant and works well across the required platforms.

-Show a good understanding of the importance of standards across a large development team.

-We expect you to be actively involved in contributing to and improving our standards

-We value a test-driven approach to development and strive to ensure that staff of all areas fall in love with testing what they produce, guided by the knowledge of our testers.Working as part of a team and communicating with other people across the organisation is essential. You’ll need a mix of great testing skills combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-Demonstrate Agile experienceKnowledge of source control (e.g. Git / SVN)Experience of dedicated test plan management systems such as Hiptest

-Management of issue tracking systemsIndustry recognised qualifications (e.g. ISTQB, ISEB)
