Senior Project Director (Engineering Consultancy) City of London £75k

Huxley Engineering and a European Leader in Technology & Engineering Consultancy are looking to recruit a Senior Project Director on a permanent basis for their offices in the City of London (with a national coverage of the entire UK), owing ambitious growth plans for the organisation and project workload.

Reporting in to the UK Country Manager, the Senior Project Director, will be central in innovation development for the automotive, aerospace, railway, IT and energy industries, working with premium customers in the UK, with the aim to deliver the best value and quality on work packages

Responsibilities for the Senior Project Director Role

Delivery & Commercial Development Management

* Lead the delivery of UK projects portfolio (approximately 250FTE in continuous growth)

* Deploy delivery management group process methods and tools

* Leading your team of Project Leaders to effectively manage and deliver projects (resources, OTD/OQD, risks, costs etc…)

* Manage the margin optimization plan and financial reporting of projects

* Increasing the value of the delivered services by managing continuous improvement initiative, deploying innovative solutions and implementing solution for the UK customers (near-shore, tools, cost improvement strategy…)

* Develop the maturity and value of our engineering services for the local & UK Customers

* Support the transformation of time and material commitments to work package and deliverable based contracts

* Lead and release technical offers in pre-sales phase: o Involvement in the GO / NO GO process

* Contribute to the offer strategy Supervision of the technical part of the offer

* Resources quotation (material and engineering)

Team Management

* Recruit and Retain talent to build the delivery management team (Project Leaders, Senior Project Leaders and/or Project Directors)

* Leadership & Management of the delivery management team

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required for Senior Project Director Role

* Master degree in engineering

* Min. 10 years of experience in the engineering consultancy company and / or in the industry

* Min. 5 years of complex project direction

* Complex project management ability

* Excellent communication skills

* Rigor and organization

* Leadership

* Results-oriented

* Business-oriented

* Ability to manage conflicts

For the successful Senior Project Director, a salary up to £75000 + Bonus + Benefits is on offer and this Senior Project Director Role is based in the heart of the City of London (with UK Coverage of Projects).
