SC Senior Data Engineer
The data engineer is required to work in contract for a major organisation in Derby a business consultant/architect working as part of an Analytics Delivery Practice, focusing on Big Data technologies and requires manufacturing / product lifecycle management experience and of the following toolsets:
* Data Engineering (Spark, NiFi)
* Data Warehousing and ETL technologies including Informatica Powercenter and Data Quality
* Data Analytics (R, Python)
Specifically, the data engineer undertakes the following tasks and activities:
* Develop and unit test the data applications
* Assist in creating system test plans
* Assist in executing system, integration and user acceptance testing
* Assist in researching and resolving data issues uncovered during development and testing
* Assist in developing end-user training requirements
* Assist in developing training materials
* Mentor other junior data engineers
* Assist the analyst/modeller as required
