Senior Interaction Designer / UX Designer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Interaction Designer to join a thriving design team within a bluechip organisation that provides market-leading financial software globally. You will play a key role in the success of their ongoing offerings and work independently on strategic new projects.

As part of the UX Design team, reporting directly to the head of UX, you will work alongside a Project Lead and Senior UX Designers and will work collaboratively with a stakeholder group comprising of Senior Product Managers and Business Leads. As a creative and curious individual you will delve into the workings of their flagship platform's framework and design the next iteration of core platform features. You will produce workflow scenarios, medium-detail specs, click-throughs and other creative deliverables - whatever it takes to move the design forward. Occasional research will be needed, and the team have a fully kitted-out UX research lab available to them on-site.

The successful candidate will…

* Be adaptable to complex and competing requirements with a deep knowledge that underpins life as a professional designer.

* Have excellent communications and stakeholder management skills and be able to back up your design decisions with a logical approach to your work.

* Possess extensive experience of one or more wireframing/prototyping/design tools (we use Axure a lot, but not exclusively).

* Have demonstrable experience of complex systems, web applications and desktop software

* Offer a portfolio which introduces us to the story of how you work. At interview we'll delve deeply into one or two of your favourite projects, and flesh out that story.

Any experience within the Financial or Risk domain would be beneficial but not required, a deep familiarity with front-end technology and prototyping skills in HTML/CSS/JS would also be nice to have.
