Asset Change Control & Configuration Manager

Poole, Dorset

£44,608 - £52,479 DOE Plus Benefits

Our client is the charity that saves lives at sea. Their Lifeboat crews and Lifeguards need a dedicated, professional and talented team behind them so whatever the weather, they can operate to the highest standards and save lives at sea.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Asset Change Control & Configuration Manager to join the Engineering and Asset Management (EAM) team. This key role is fundamental to our client’s ability to provide and sustain high quality products and services used to undertake and support effective lifesaving activities, as well as providing configuration guidance for the EAM team.

As part of our client’s drive to embed and sustain good asset management practices across their organisation, you will have responsibility for ensuring that their change control and configuration processes are compliant with ISO 9001-2015 (including external certification) and deliver rapid, efficient and effective change across the portfolio of assets. Your role will include the line management of a team of configuration support staff. Duties in this role will also include the development of document and data management strategies and processes.

To be considered, you’ll need:

- Extensive experience of ERP systems, ideally Microsoft AX Dynamics, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools

- Configuration management experience gained within a complex production or support environment at a fast and agile pace, achieving critical and tight timelines

- Experience of analysing, developing and improving change control and configuration processes

- An in-depth understanding of MS Office

- At a minimum, an HNC level qualification in an engineering discipline (or equivalent)

Ideally, you’ll be CMII certified, but this isn’t essential.

Our client is looking for someone who has an analytical and curious approach and has the ability to get to the root cause of problems and ensure effective, sustainable improvement.

If you have the necessary qualities, skills and experience, and want to be part of an organisation where your efforts will help save even more lives, then our client would love to hear from you.

The closing date for applications is the 8th April 2018, with interviews scheduled to be held on the 18th April 2018.

Our client’s staff and volunteers have been saving lives at sea without prejudice for nearly 200 years. They respect and value diversity of background, skills and perspectives within their teams, and consider it essential to help deliver a world-class lifesaving service. They are an inclusive organisation and welcome applications from everyone. In addition to having the skills needed for the role, they also look for applicants who share their commitment to living their values (trustworthy, courageous, selfless, and dependable), and helping them work towards their goals of halving drowning in the UK and Ireland by 2024. This involves a growing commitment to preventative action, using expertise to work in partnership with communities locally, nationally and internationally to prevent drowning.
