A brilliant company are seeking TWO Senior FPGA/Firmware Engineers to join their team in the East Midlands commutable from Leicester/Nottingham/Northampton/Derby. Are you looking to join a top image processing company, then you may be the Engineers we're looking for!

What will you be doing?

You will be involved in the Design and development of new electronic hardware/firmware for the image processing industry. Your role will also include testing of electronics and systems integrated sensors. You will be experienced in developing electronics /hardware using FPGAs (Altera and Xilinx), DSPs and embedded microcontrollers. It is also important that you have exposure/appreciation of the design and test embedded software using C, C++ as well as Python.

Core skills include:-

Good degree in electronic engineering or physics with experience of design in analogue and digital electronics including FPGA

* 5+ years experience in electronics design

* Good interpersonal skills, effective team player

* Flexible to occasionally travel to customer and partner locations

* Experience of working with CCD and CMOS imaging systems

* Good lab skills and a keen interest in electronic assembly

Professional knowledge

* Ability to design, debug complex digital and analogue circuits

* Analogue electronic design, especially fast data acquisition

* Experience of FPGA development using both Altera and Xilinx toolsets

* C, C++, Python

* Schematic and PCB design using Cadstar would be an advantage
