Junior Physical Layer Digital Design Engineer

This is a superb opportunity for a Graduate/Junior Physical Layer Digital Design Engineer to join one of the biggest names in electronics.

Our client, a household name in wireless communications, is offering a rare (and exceptional!) opportunity for a Graduate/Junior Physical Layer Digital Design Engineer to join their team in Cambridge. In this role you will be responsible for implementing and verifying modules in digital baseband, designing complex but efficient modules.

In this role you will work within a small group of highly experienced ASIC Design specialists and be responsible for digital chip verification and design under the mentorship for a senior engineer. As you gain experience you will work on all areas of the ASIC chip flow and to become a real digital design expert.

Requirements:

* An excellent academic background; BSc/MSc degree in Electronic Engineering or similar

* Strong knowledge of Digital IC Design and Verification concepts, using Verilog/VHDL

* Some experience of Digital Signal Processing techniques

* Experience of Matlab would be preferred

* Exposure to any radio communication standards (LTE/3G/WiFi ...) would be a bonus
