Java Developer / Senior Java Software Engineer (Cloud AWS Linux Agile Microservices Spring Boot). Opportunity to work on ground breaking IoT functionality for a market leading smart energy product for the home. Joining an Agile development team you will architect, design and develop large distributed systems, presenting technical challenges around reliability, scalability and performance. Initially you'll be working on a Greenfield project to build a globally distributed authentication system for their flagship core home energy product.

As a Senior Java Developer you will also provide some technical leadership, mentoring talented junior to mid-level developers within an Agile TDD environment. You'll be working with a range of modern technologies including Java 8, AWS, Spring Boot and Node.

City based offices with a collaborative, technology driven environment.

Requirements:

*Strong core Java backend development experience

*Experience of designing robust, highly scalable systems

*Experience with AWS

*SpringBoot

*Advocate of Agile development methodologies such as TDD

*Linux OS experience

*Familiar with CI/CD and microservices architecture

*Experience with Distributed Systems

*Collaborative; with excellent communication / interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate others
