Job Title:Junior / mid-level Embedded Engineer

Location:Swindon

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 + Benefits

Job Purpose:

As a junior/ Md-level engineer you will work alongside the director of technology and the Senior Software engineer to work on exciting IOT projects.

You will also work with the IoT QA Engineer to agree how to test new and how to improve the testing of existing IoT hardware products.

Your first year will entail:

During 2018:

*Gain an understanding of IoT and how the company creates/builds IoT products.

*Learn how to use the Bitrix firmware system.

*Take over responsibility for some of the new products being developed in the IoT team.

*Manage the development and testing of firmware for specific IoT products

*Support the IoT software team in the creation of new Smart Products.

*Work with the QA team to create new automated test scripts to improve the way the IoT team tests our hardware products.

Required Skills and Abilities:

*Understanding of the following development languages:

- C, C++, C#

*Engineering degree in embedded Software or Electronics Design

*Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

*Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and change direction quickly. Ability to estimate workload in order to meet deadlines on time and within budget.

*Analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.

*Ability to work on their own or in a team.

Desired skills:

*Understanding preferred but not necessary in the following development languages:

- Javascript and a common Javascript Framework such as jQuery.

*A good knowledge of Python would be an advantage.

*Experience of working in an agile/scrum environment. Experience of Jira would be advantageous.

*Experience with Wireless comms such as Ethernet, Zigbee or I/O systems or BLE
