The Role
This is your opportuntiy to join a multi-award winning digital agency based in the heart of Leeds. Due to rapid growth, a new space has opened up for a Systems Administrator/AWS Cloud Engineer. The successful candidate will largely be responsible for Looking after all environments from development through to client cloud infrastructure, taking on a broad role in the company. This brand new role is one which will quickly evolve, while also giving the chosen candidate a chance to put their mark on things. You will define how the company operates and create the processes and standards.
Over time the role will expand from a more traditional System Administrator role, through to a DevOps Engineer. This means that the testing, deployment and monitoring elements of our work will transition across to this role or team.
Essential
- Solid Cloud/AWS Knowledge (currently utilizing the following services: EC2, lambda, API gateway, ELB, RDS including Aurora clusters, S3, Cloudfront, VPC, Route53, Elasticache Redia shards/replicas, CloudWatch alarms, logs and metrics, SES).
- Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS) - SELinux, user/group management, logging (and roation), repository and package management.
- Virtualisation (Xenserver, Docker, Vargant).
- Bash Scripting skills.
- Basic networking knowledge.
Desirable
- LAMP stack.
- Web server configuration (Apache, Nginx).
- Configuration Management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet or SaltStack).
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Capistrano).
