Product Owner - Agile, CMS, Content Management System

Location: Osterley, West London

Duration: 6 Months

Candidates must be willing to travel to the European and UK Sky offices.

The CMS Product Owner will serve as the key stakeholder within the product development squad and is ultimately responsible for ownership and delivery of content management systems which will handle all sales journeys across the entire Interactive TV estate (Sky+ and Sky Q). Within the product development team, the Product Owner is also responsible for prioritising the product backlog, and is embedded within a team of software engineers, doing whatever is necessary to build the best product possible.

Key Accountabilities:

* Administration and planning of CMS development roadmap

* Liaise with Editorial, Product and Development Teams

* Define and create user stories in the product backlog for CMS work (and any related App development required as part of this)

* Fulfil the Product Owner role in an agile development team to define requirements, prioritise backlogs and UAT functionality

What does success look like in this role?

* Successfully deliver fully integrated content management systems which handles all sales capabilities across the interactive estate.

Qualifications

Relevant degree in business, digital or technology discipline or equivalent experience

Specialist knowledge and skills

* Understanding of Open TV/Luna and internet technologies

* Experience of working in agile development operating models

* Budget accountability/business case creation

* Leadership and motivation of virtual teams

Personal Skills

To be successful in this role you will need to be an advocate and an enthusiast, and have excellent knowledge of interactive products and technologies, ideally from a Customer Service perspective. You will be great at problem solving, have an inquisitive nature, and be a self-learner. It is important that you have strong analytical skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely gather, interpret, analyse, and document information.

You will be adept at understanding customer needs and analysing those needs across Sky's customer base to identify the best solution. You will also need to be able to articulate those requirements to various stakeholders. It is important that you have the ability to translate business and technical requirements into the form of Epics and User Stories. Working within agile/scrum teams you will need to be a great team player.

Excellent communications skills are also essential, both oral and written, with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels
