A manufacturer in Maidenhead are seeking a Global Technical Director to join their team. If you have a technical background and experience with low to mid volume product/project delivery, then you may be the Director we're looking for.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Global Technical Director, you'll be responsible for managing an engineering team of 35 across 3 global locations. You'll have the ability to handle large project delivery, as well as direct future strategy and launch products to fit customer requirements. In addition to this, you'll ensure that the new product roadmap is delivered on time and on cost; questioning the status quo to bring in disruptive ideas on digital technologies.
Skills and Experience
* Strong technical background
* A good knowledge of firmware and hardware is absolutely essential
* Experience of managing multi-disciplined teams (Web, Hardware, Firmware, Engineering, Software)
* Experience with low to mid volume product/project delivery
* Project management and people management experience
* Degree / MSc in Electronics or similar
Although not an essential requirement of the role, if you have a further degree in Electronics/Embedded, Engineering or Computer Engineering/Science, then this may benefit your application.
