Purpose of the role

*To help setup and run a compliance and information risk function initially working on the current GDPR programme which is in flight.

Principal Accountabilities

*Working with security and data protection professionals to setup a risk and control framework for the group

*Managing service assessments as part of an ongoing assurance programme across the group including interfacing with suppliers as part of a 3rd party risk assessments

*Managing the information risk register

*Handling disaster recovery and business continuity governance across the group including reporting on the compliance group standards

*Acting as a point of escalation for information risk issues

Key Relationships

*Close working relationship with operational security and data protection officers across the group.

*Working with security architects to help ensure that new designs are compliant to security standards.

*Working with operational teams to educate teams on information security.

Decision-making Authority

*Accountability for risk assessments.

*Accountability for business continuity.

*Establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with operational teams and stakeholders
