My client is a globally established Japanese automotive supplier specialising in wire harnesses, instruments and components based in Cologne, Germany. They are looking for a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to participate in projects from concept to mass production:

As the Senior Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

*Closely communicate with national, international and external team members from different disciplines

*Agree on hardware design ideas and architectures with suppliers, customers and other sites

*Test and verify created hardware

*Lead international hardware design teams

*Documentation of development progress and development-accompanying trials

The ideal and successful Senior Hardware Design professional will ideally have the following:

*Professional experience from completed projects from concept to mass production in the automotive sector

*Good knowledge of EMC compatible design, especially for power supplies

*Experience in cost-effective design of DCDC converters, complex logic solutions in microcontrollers and SoCs

*Knowledge in the field of heat management, smart MOSFETs, circuit breakers and power switches

*Deep knowledge of common communication interfaces CAN, LIN, GMLAN, Flexray, Ethernet AVB

*Practical handling of simulation and design tools for circuit diagram

*Development signal integrity analysis and simulation (Mentor DxDesigner/hyperlynx PI/Mathcad/LTspice

*Very good German and English language skills

*Willingness to travel on business trips internationally
