We’ve already transformed our organisation, putting the public and best practice at the heart of everything we do. The work continues as CQC is undergoing a significant digital transformation. The Digital directorate, headed by Pete Sinden, Chief Digital Officer, will be overseeing delivery of our information management and technology strategy, setting out to overhaul our systems over the next few years. We are looking to strengthen our Digital function to deliver on our business priorities. Our core methodology and delivery approach will shift from a waterfall to an agile method.
About the role
The Head of Product Management is an exciting new role as part of our Digital transformation. Working to the Director of Digital Operations and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team for CQC Digital, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering new products and services, whilst being the primary driver of our vision; overseeing the development and management of the product roadmaps based on the adopted strategies and vision. You will be key to developing the Product Management community in order to build a digital culture within CQC. You will work closely with colleagues across both our Digital and Planning, Performance & Projects (PPP) teams to agree, implement, govern and maintain our digital change methodology.
With senior level experience of managing substantial Product Management operations and service, you will be skilled in roadmap planning and producing products and services in line with the governments Digital Service Standard. Holding a proven track record in leading Digital change across an organisation at scale, you will evidence achievements in transforming ways of working, both in terms of method and culture. A recognised expert in key design principles and experience of leading a team of Product Management specialists is a must to ensure you achieve stakeholder, public and staff engagement to drive and achieve change. Fostering a culture of innovative service design and delivery, you will ensure products and services are designed and continuously improved to deliver quality, meeting user needs and policy intent to deliver CQC’s strategic outcomes.
This is a key senior role requiring someone who can drive a range of products at pace to collectively deliver organisational change for CQC. You will be a confident communicator and strong relationship builder to enable you to support, motivate and lead others through this exciting period of change.
The successful applicant should expect to undertake weekly travel to CQC offices as a requirement of the role is to be mobile and visible.
