2D CAD Technician

Salisbury, Wiltshire

£18'000 - £24'000 + Training + Progression + Pension + Holiday

This company are a leading UK designer and manufacturer of packaging, who supply primarily into Defence, Aerospace, Communications, Oil & Gas, Medical, Electronics and Automotive Industries. Due to their ability to deliver a great service, they have continued to grow sustainably and through this are now in the position to add another Junior CAD Technician to their team.

In this role you will provide 2D and 3D design drawings in support of the sales and production team for the manufacturing of engineered foam products. While also undergoing plenty of training and development.

The ideal candidate will have first class IT skills within the use of AutoCAD for 2D designs, any 3D experience will be a bonus.

The Role:

*Responsible for producing designs suitable for economic manufacture

*Supply of quality drawings including modifications and re-issue

*Product innovation

*Involvement with troubleshooting production problems relating to the design and manufacture of products.

The Person:

*Have a qualification in the use of CAD software

*Be able to design in 2D unaided
