Senior Software Engineer

Your purpose:

You work will be vitally important to the success of the business and will have a direct impact on how my client meets their business objectives. This will be achieved through developing and maintaining a strong and scalable cloud-based platform.

My client is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and driven Software Engineer to join their close-knit team of likeminded individuals. If you prefer to work with the latest tech, this role will be great for you as you'll be responsible for working with a cutting-edge cloud based system back end structure- which is the cornerstone of the business. You'll also work with web API's and the supportive services which run my client's products.

Technical skills:

* Very strong understanding 00P concepts.

* Proficient in .NET framework knowledge, including C# language.

* LINQ

* Experience in database development

* Ability to implement security strategies within the software development.

* Exposure to the software development cycle

* Exposure to Agile/TDD methods.

* Very desirable, understanding of MVC concepts.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

Processes and infrastructure

You'll work closely with the servers, being responsible for ensuring they are up to date through installing the required server software. You'll also assist in the monitoring and tweaking of the server performance as well as security and firewalls.

Software Development

You will proactively contribute to providing technical solutions, which will in turn be used to implement the functional specs. In respect to tasks which are assigned, you will provide realistic and objective timescales for them to be completed. Through following the conventional coding standards within your technical department, you will make an impact on our clients business. To further this, you'll discover and implement new technologies and frameworks to support our client.

Database

You will develop an efficient database code for our clients which makes use of the frameworks and indexes available.
