Product Owner - FMCG (Fast moving consumer goods)

Location: Kingston with potential travel to the Leatherhead office

Duration: Initial 3 Months

The CD-IT Net Revenue Management IT Product Owner (new capabilities) will be responsible for ensuring that all new requirements are managed and, when prioritised, delivered in accordance with the agreed programme governance model. For any new capabilities agreed as within scope of the CDIT delivery team the product owner (new capabilities) will be directly responsible for CDIT delivery resources.

Main purpose of job:

The objective of Net Revenue Management is to:

* To build a scalable solution to monitor the changes in Net Revenue contribution by brand, SKU, category, geography, customer, to meet the global and local reporting needs on a single platform

* To have a system that automates the NRM analysis, measurement and tracking of key performance indicators against historical data and against competitor and market data across various portfolios

More specifically, as a product owner within the CDIT NRM team, the Product Owner will be:

* Directly responsible for leading the development and rollout of any CDIT delivered systems to different countries.

* Responsible for working with I&A to ensure that new I&A capabilities are successfully developed and deployed to different countries in accordance with the NRM ETS ways of working agreed with the NRM IT steering group

This involves:

* Liaising with technical consultants and finance/marketing experts to check the data is correct, engaging country teams in the project, and ultimately tracking the progress of the rollout to ensure the systems go-live on time.

* Liaising with project teams to ensure that any design, build, test and deployment plans are aligned with the agreed programme approach

* The candidate will also support/manage any subsequent new requirements - change requests from countries following the deployment of these new tools. This involves, working with business representatives to understand the requirements and working with technical teams to assess the complexity, as well as working with the program manager and the change board to agree on prioritization.

* The candidate will also make sure that any BAU activities related to the new capabilities are running smoothly by having regular check points with the teams.

* The candidate will also provide support for the project team. This may typically include: updating training material, running training sessions with countries, make demos to new countries to explain the capabilities of the tool and tracking usage of the NRM tools.

Key accountabilities:

* Oversee the collection of all user requirements

* Work with technical teams to assess the complexity of delivering any new capabilities and their impact of it on existing functionalities in accordance with the agreed programme ways of working

* Ensure that all user requirements are prioritised according to the agreed programme governance framework

* Coordinate the delivery of prioritised user requirements with the different teams

* Project manage the delivery (design, build and test) of capabilities planned to be delivered by CDIT

* Ensure the solution proposed by the technical team fulfils the business needs

* Work together with the project managers to develop and follow global plan during the rollouts

* Work together with project managers to create best practices for the rollouts and document lesson leaned topics.

* Ensure correct control/check mechanisms related to the new requirements in place and plans are being executed in time without any delay.

* Ensures that the programme implements enhancements, which meets business needs and measurably improves levels of performance.

* Provide input to prioritise the innovation backlog with project team and key stakeholders

to explain the changes and impact of them and gain their support for program proposals;

* Explain the global model to countries and asses the fit of global model to country business model.

* In case an exception to global model is needed understand the impact to the solution and communicate the impact of required exceptions on model and delivery plan.

Support project team and project management activities

* Make sure that for the requirements s/he is working related training documents are up to date and available to be used by countries.

* Run demo sessions to explain the functionalities of the tool to countries or any other users.

* Support project management activities

* Proven experience in analysing complex problems and working on solution proposals

* Cross functional information presentation: how to bring information from different functional areas together through one solution, in the most impactful way across all device types

* Relevant functional/process knowledge or experience

* Experience of working as part of a regional/global virtual team
