A Business Analyst (Utilities Industry) is required to join an exciting, expanding Utility on a permanent basis.
The successful Business Analyst (Utilities Industry) will have at least 2 years' experience working as a Business Analyst within a regulated industry and will ideally have worked on multiple Business Change projects, managing and documenting processes, looking at continuous improvement to improve overall business processes and work on multiple workstreams.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Must have a MINIMUM of 2 years' experience working as a Business Analyst and in a regulated industry i.e. Water, Energy, Telco, Finance (preferably for a Utility supplier)
* Excellent communication skills to engage and challenge stakeholders
* Must have expertise in requirements gathering and running workshops
* Excellent process mapping skills using MS Visio
* Experience working on Business Change Projects
Desirable Skills
* Experience in Billing considered MASSIVELY ADVANTAGEOUS
* Understanding of project management methodologies e.g. Prince2, Waterfall, Agile
* Motivated Business Analyst, passionate about the Utilities industry
* Flexibility to work and adapt to a fast-paced and high-pressured environment
Day to day role:
As Business Analyst (Utilities Industry) you will be assigned a wide range of projects on a daily basis.
Duties may include analysing & mapping the customer journey and driving continual improvement, documenting process flows, reviewing and amending existing documentation, developing technical and non-technical specifications, capturing business requirements, facilitating workshops, engaging various senior stakeholders, as well as hastily addressing any potential problems.
Successful candidates will have the ability to challenge existing processes in order to improve them and must be able to deal with many tasks at one given time, working independently in a fast-paced environment. The Business Analyst we are looking for is not a note-taker, but someone who is thick skinned and not scared to challenge stakeholders!
