Infrastructure Project Manager-4 weeks in Edinburgh then London

My established client are currently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager on a contract basis. This role will involve 4 weeks in the Edinburgh Head Office, at the start of the contract and 5 months in the London Office thereafter.

The main purpose of the role will be to set up an infrastructure environment from scratch, so experience in this area is essential.

What will the role involve?

* Working alongside Consultants and Architects in Innovation & Solutions to design and deliver the new project

* Liaise with delivery teams and vendors to help shape solutions to meet business problems

* Develop and adhere to agreed delivery schedule in a dynamic, fluid and every changing project delivery environment

* Work in conjunction with the project team, provide the delivery of Architecture and Design Documentation for the build of the London based project, adhering to delivery schedule determined by Programme Manager

* Responsible for Risk and Issue identification and management mitigation as instructed by the Project Programme Manager

* Provide infrastructure support to vendors and project PMs during implementation of delivery

* Able to present and demonstrate to senior business stakeholders

What experience do I need?

* A proven track record of infrastructure delivery

* Experience as a project/ support leader within a service/operations environment

* Broad knowledge of infrastructure technologies - VMWare, Networking, Offhost Server OS, Web Services, etc.

* Team management throughout the entire project life cycle

* Experience of infrastructure delivery life cycle

* Awareness of commercial and contractual issues

* Must have initiated and created total project plans

* Experience of project methodologies and change management processes

* Hold a Project Management Qualification or the equivalent gained though practical experience
