Commercial Manager - Procurement, Supplier Management, Grant Management, Not-for-profit, Public Sector, Relationship Management

Central London - Permanent - Circa £65,000 plus benefits (Pension, Private Health Care, Life Assurance, and more)

Are you an experienced Commercial Manager who has experience working within the Public or Third Sector? Do you have a passion for delivering an excellent commercial service to customers?

If this sound like you we are looking to recruit a Commercial Manager for a personal finance consumer focused organisation, who operate on a not for profit basis. Based in the company office in London, you will play a key role in providing strategic advice and delivery support to major sourcing initiatives and procurement exercises, as well as leading end-to-end high value or complex procurement exercises and to manage all associated supplier relations effectively in order to optimise supply chains and deliver value for money for the organisation.

In order to be able to make an effective contribution our client will require someone to demonstrate the following qualification, skills and experience:

* High-level supplier management and stakeholder management skills.

* Excellent relationship management and communication skills.

* Ability to design and implement life cycle procurement sourcing projects.

* Exposure to significant change and transformation projects.

* Experience of negotiating with third party suppliers

* Solid client/stakeholder management skills - collaborative working is essential

* Detailed understanding and applications of public procurement regulations and practices including the EU directives

* Experience of drafting appropriate contract and procurement documents

* In depth knowledge of the complete procurement and contract management cycle.

* First class commercial negotiation skills and a high level of commercial awareness, acumen, and wide ranging experience

* Commercial legal knowledge.

* Understanding of the key characteristics of grants and contracts and experience of when to apply each

* An analytical approach to problem solving.

* Procurement experience across a wide range of indirect categories.

* Proficient with all standard MS Office applications.

* Knowledge of working to EU Procurement regulations within a third sector or public sector procurement environment

* Likely to be MCIPS qualified or similar.

* Understanding and application of the end to end Source to Pay methodology
